About First Christian
Worship
Services
- 8:30 a.m.
- Traditional but Informal
Clothing is casual at this service. Our minister does not wear a clerical robe and preaches from the floor. There is a time of sharing joys and concerns before prayer. An offering plate is stationed at the back of the sanctuary. Communion is weekly and by intinction (dipping bread into a chalice). First time visitors receive a gift from FCC. This service lasts an hour and generally worships between 50 and 70 people. - 10:50 a.m.
- Traditional
At this service, our chancel choir sings, an acolyte processes, and minister, choir and acolyte are in robes. There is a children's moment. Communion is weekly and served by deacons. An offering is collected by the deacons, as well. First time visitors receive a gift from FCC. This service lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes and generally worships between 150 and 200 people. - 6:10 p.m.
- Contemporary
This service is being offered every 2nd and 4th Sunday. Based on Romans 6:10 which states "The life we live we live for God", our '610' service is a participatory experience with a live band and uplifting music. A spiritually-based message and communion are an integral part of this worship service. This service currently worships around 70 people. Come in casual attire and enjoy this new, upbeat worship with us. A children's nursery is available.
