BELIEFS

Confession of Faith
We believe that confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only thing required for salvation.
Communion
We believe that communion is an essential part, the heart of worship, and that is why we celebrate it weekly. One need not be a member of FCC to partake, as we believe Christ's table is open to all who believe in the salvation He offers.
Individual Faith
We believe that individuals are free to examine and study scripture for themselves, and are encouraged to discover the faith God seeks to give them.
Bible
The Bible alone is our rule of faith and practice. While we agree with the essence of many of the Christian creeds, we do not use creeds or doctrines to determine and define an individual's faith.
Baptism
We practice baptism by immersion for those who are able first to confess their faith in Jesus Christ. We are an open congregation. This is, if already baptized, we do not insist on an additional baptism. We also dedicate infants, with the church and families promising to raise the children in such a way that they will come to know Christ, confess faith in Him, and be baptized in His name.
Membership
All that is required to be a member of FCC is a confession of faith and baptism. If you are already a baptized member of another church, you may transfer your membership to FCC by coming forward after the invitation and stating your faith in Christ. If you are not baptized, you may come forward during the invitation and then, working with one of the ministers, set a date for your baptism. Children and youth seeking to join are also invited to contact one of our ministers.
Unity
We believe that we are Christians only, but not the only Christians. We hold that Christians may be united as Jesus intends, when we allow our common faith, which is essential for salvation, to overcome the non-essential things that divide us.
