First Christian Church Nursery
Our excellent nursery staff provides quality care during worship and many of our community events and
services. Staff members are available in the nursery beginning at 8:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings. The nursery is available for infants and children through age 5 during both worship services, the Sunday School hour, Sunday Night Youth Group from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and during most called meetings and special events. You can contact the church office to find out if Child Care will be provided during a certain meeting. Our nursery has been updated and we are very proud of our four-wall mural, the toys and activites for our children and the staff that cares for them. Come visit and know that your children are in good hands with us!
AMY LESTER
Amy is also a member of FCC BRLA, but grew up in Birmingham, AL. She moved to Baton Rouge in 5th grade and just couldn't leave! Amy is a graduate of LSU with a degree in marketing. She loves sports of any kind but mainly soccer and loves to read. She even played goalkeeper at LSU. Amy has been part of our nursery staff for many years and has been a wonderful addition. Having spent her formative youth years in the church, she really enjoys helping raise the next generation of Christians.
HALEY JOHNSON
Haley is a elementary education major at LSU and will be entering the education master's program in the fall. In her free time she visits with her friends and family, reading, and baking. However, she has always known her true passion lies in teaching and has always had a love for children. She is is thrilled to join the nursery staff at First Christian Church and become a part of the community.
MEGHAN MAESTRI
Meghan is a graduate of LSU majoring in Kinesiology Human Movement Science. She plans to attend nursing school, also at LSU in the fall of 2012. Meghan is from Covington, LA and enjoys dancing, reading, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends. She is so happy to become a part of the community at First Christian Church.
COURTNEY WISHAM
Courtney is a Baton Rouge native, "born an raised." She is a member of Gethsemane Baptist church and graduated Summa Cum-Laude from Scotlandville Magnet High School. Courtney is a student at Southern University with a major in Secondary Education and Mass Communications minor. She is a former employee at Chuck E Cheese's, loves to entertain children, read and sew. She is very excited to interact with all the new faces of FCC!
HOLLIE CHAPANERI
Hollie hasbeen with us for many years and as such is our most seasonsed nursery care-giver. She is from Zachary, LA and grew up a member of FCC BRLA. Hollie is a graduate of LSU's accounting program and works at Neighbor's Bank in Baton Rouge, but always has some extra time to help out in the nursery at FCC. She has served as FCC Board Secretary and is a strong supporter of our mission trips, and the Young Adult Disciples (YADS).
AMANDA HILGENDORF
Amanda began working at FCC BRLA both in the office and in the nursery in the mid 1990s. But she has come back to join the nursery staff in January, 2006. She is Law student at Southern University and is also employed by Miller and Hampton, Attorneys at Law. She has a great heart for children and all of our young ones love Ms. Amanda!
