William Parker - Organist
Bill Parker has served as organist of FCC since January 1998, and has been an organist in Baton Rouge churches for over 42 years. When not leading worship at FCC, he attends Broadmoor Baptist Church. He and his wife, Danette, have two grown children, Elizabeth and Will, and two grandsons. Bill was an elementary school teacher in the Livingston Parish School System and retired in May 2007 after 33 years of teaching. Bill is active in the Baton Rouge Chapter of the American Guild of Organists where he has served as Sub-Dean, and is active in the Baton Rouge Little Theatre as an actor where he has co-starred in “The King and I” and “Arsenic and Old Lace,” and in some of the motion pictures that have filmed in our area as an “extra.” He is a two-time graduate of Louisiana State University and stopped just short of earning a Doctorate in School Administration and Supervision. Bill believes musical performance, teaching, and acting are all talents given by God and gives Him the glory.
