This is the season of love.

Sunday School

Christian Education is an integral part of the mission of First Christian Church. If the church does nothing else, we believe that it should be a place where people of faith can come and learn about the good news Jesus brought to our world. As a community of faith, we strive to know Jesus better, to learn how to live in a way that reflects Christ's love, and to be open to new and refreshing voices and perspectives on the timeless stories in Scripture.

We offer a variety of Sunday School Classes for both adults and for youth and children.

We also offer a variety of groups and studies that meet during hours other than 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Please find more information on these groups by clicking on the Ministries and Groups headings above.

Adults

Prayer and Praise through Psalms  –  Chris Culp will teach a 12-week class beginning Sunday, November 13.  It will meet in the parlor (sanctuary building).  Chris writes of his class: "This class is for those who wish to learn to grow deeper in our understanding of how to find peace in times of trouble, how to learn to be thankful, and how to pray and give praise." 

Youth and Children

We do not currently have children's Sunday School.   However we do offer the following opportunities for children/youth Christian education.

We invite you to come to our Sunday Night Youth Group from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings.

We offer quality worship programming for children ages 3 through 2nd grade during our 10:50am worship service.  Please visit our Children Worship & Wonder page to find out more about this wonderful worship experience.

Nursery

On the 1st Sunday of each month we offer First Steps, a class for parents of infants through toddlers age three, AND their children at 9:30am in the nursery.  We explore how your child comes to know God and what your role as parents can be, and what our role as church can be.  Please visit our nursery page to find out more information about this ministry.

The nursery is separated into two rooms. Room one hosts 3-4 year olds and Room two hosts our infant through 2 year olds. Please click here for more information about our nursery.
